Title:
Black Notification update window due to flashplugin-update error

Status in “update-notifier” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Everytime I start a new session I get an update notification icon on
system tray. Whenever I click it a horizontal black window without
window decoration appears in the middle of the screen.

After disabling destkop-effects I see a weird error description (it is
written in many languages and the sentence seems to be cut) wich
points to an error due to flashplugin-installer (see attached
  screenshot).

I have removed such package by doing "sudo apt-get remove
  flashplugin-installer" and the problem persists.

The problem appears from the very first day (Fresh installation of
kubuntu 12.04 LTS ) and even after having upgraded KDE to 4.8.3 from
  backports ppa.

I've seen other users who are having the same problem here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=101848&p=221503
