[Bug 994660] [NEW] Offer purging of old kernels

Public bug reported:

Please consider an option to purge old kernels. This feature should take
into account only kernels except the latest and one but latest. Also a
check could be made that successful boots have been made with the latest
and one but latest kernel since booting from these old kernels.

Especially on systems with limited space and inexperienced users this
will prevent cumulation of installed kernels that never get purged from
the system and waisting resources in terms of disk space.

Optionally this feature could also be made available in software-center
and computer-janitor.

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
