  add-apt-repository does not add key properly

Status in “software-properties” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  When executing the command add-apt-repository to add a repository with
  a key, it never adds the key, instead at the end it says unchanged and
  then updating the repository generates missing key errors.

  
  $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
