With regards to the problem with the NTFS file system, this should be
able to be fixed by booting into Windows, running "chkdsk /f" on the
drive, and rebooting twice.
Regarding the problem with GParted hanging, it would be helpful if you
could test GParted 0.12.0 first to see if the problem still exists,
before you fix the NTFS file system.

gparted hangs when encountered error in ntfsresize
Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Gparted was showing red exclamation mark to my one of the ntfs
partition , so I tried running check the disk using gparted menu but
It told that it has encountered an error and need to report the error.
So, I tried to save the details and it all hang. I had to kill all the
gparted process tree using the terminal.

The usage of the /f parameter is very IMPORTANT! No modification was
