Title:
  plymouthd crashed with SIGSEGV in
  ply_event_loop_process_pending_events()

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  This started happening today after logging in. Nothing peculiar
  visually on boot up or login - i'm just warned that an error occurred
  with plymouthd.

  I think this is related to the fact that i removed plymouth-label;
  plymouth-theme-ubuntu-logo and plymouth-theme-ubuntu-text yesterday
  evening, to see if it had any effect on bootup time - if it does, it's
  not all that noticeable. But it's one less thing to load at startup
  and i read that only the plymouth package itself is essential.

  If it's not related to these above changes i made yesterday, it'll be
  something to do with the updates pushed yesterday i.e.

  libplymouth2 (0.8.2-2ubuntu25) to 0.8.2-2ubuntu26
  plymouth (0.8.2-2ubuntu25) to 0.8.2-2ubuntu26
  plymouth-label (0.8.2-2ubuntu25) to 0.8.2-2ubuntu26
  plymouth-theme-ubuntu-logo (0.8.2-2ubuntu25) to 0.8.2-2ubuntu26
  plymouth-theme-ubuntu-text (0.8.2-2ubuntu25) to 0.8.2-2ubuntu26
