Title:
1.0.1-2ubuntu2 client side connect problem
Status in “openssl” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
After updating a precise amd64 server from libssl1.0.0 (1.0.0g-1ubuntu1) to libssl1.0.0 (1.0.1-2ubuntu2) by regular apt-get update/upgrade, outgoing https connections stopped working stable. This depends on the target to connect to and at least affects php5-curl, curl, openssl s_client and wget.
q
I'm able to reproduce this behavior by trying to connect to https://www.postbank.de/ and https://www.paypal.com/
I assume some negotiation problem. e.g. https://www.gmx.net/ works.
Attached is the output of
# openssl s_client -debug -msg -state -status -connect www.paypal.com:443
1.0.0g-1ubuntu1 is working,
1.0.1-2ubuntu2 is NOT working.
