Title:
OEM installation with encrypted filesystem doesn't work
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Status in “ubiquity” source package in Precise:

Bug description:
Ubuntu 11.10
In file oem-config-remove-gtk (line 67-68), cryptsetup is removed if no user has the encrypted home directory, and initrd is rebuilt without encryption support.
In the scenario where users don't use encrypted folders but the system uses encrypted system partition (alternate installer, encrypted LVM), this prevents the system to boot.
In order to solve the problem, cryptsetup should be left installed, or
a check must be done to figure out if encrypted partitions are in use.
