Title:
Cannot add the install CDROM to apt sources

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Trying to add the installation CDROM to apt-sources failed with the
  following error message:

  # apt-cdrom add -d /media/TMP_Mount1

  Using CD-ROM mount point /media/cdrom/
  Identifying.. [f786c25bd8e5422d38fa6adc60888f06-2]
  Scanning disc for index files..
Found 0 package indexes, 0 source indexes, 0 translation indexes and 0 signatures
  W: Failed to mount '/dev/sr0' to '/media/cdrom/'
E: Unable to locate any package files, perhaps this is not a Debian Disc or the wrong architecture?

The CDROM is the alternate install CDROM for Kubuntu 11.10.
It was written to a USB key (partition /dev/sdf1) with Unetbootin and it was mounted manually to /media/TMP_Mount1

Why does apt tries to mount /dev/sr0 ? Why does it ignore the path
I gave it with the option "-d" ?
