Public bug reported:

When doing manual partitioning during a Desktop installation, the popup
menus leave artifacts on the screen. This does not affect the usability
of the menus but is ugly.

For example the "Use as:" menu containing  list of file systems, leaves
artifacts on the screen after the menu has been used.

Installation type -> Something else -> Change -> Edit a partition -> Use
as

This is with the precise-desktop-amd64+mac.iso image from 21 Mar.
