I'm unable to reproduce that one.
Either clicking Quit or clicking the exit icon in the window title bar,
both show me a "Quit the installation?" dialog asking me "Do you really
want to quit the installation now?" with cancel/quit as options.
The dialog is of the right size and isn't resizable.
Anything special with your system? (I was testing with 2.9.30 from ubuntu desktop amd64 20120320 with unity-2d in kvm).

TEST CASE
1. Start Ubiquity
2. Click on 'Quit' to show the exit confirmation dialog
3. Press 'Esc' to close the dialog
4. Click on 'Quit' again
ACTUAL RESULT
The geometry of the dialog is reduce to a thin vertical line. In the screenshot attached it is the small dark vertical line in the middle of the screen.
