Title:
11.04 install drives itself to an error on '!' in the name

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
This is potentially a bug on the graphical add user interface. But i
am unsure so i am reporting it without the package for now.

During the installation of 11.04 i am presented with the option to
create a user name. I type my name "VolodyA! V Anarhist" and it
(without anything on my part) selects a username for me as "volodya!"
and right away prompts me that the user name is incorrect.

  What i expect:
The install process should not itself suggest a user name which it knows to be incorrect.
