here is the xsession-errors, but from another computer (32 bits instead
of 64 like my)

  update-manager won't show up on start up

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  on start up, update-manager icon will appear in the dock and tell me
  there are updates available, clicking on the icon and update-manager
  window won't appear; I must close update-manager with right-click, and
  then reopen again.
