[Bug 958808] [NEW] Auto fill text is half shown in application menu

machine: HP 6710B (laptop)
4 gig memory
ubuntu 21.04 beta 2, with latest updates till this morning.

when typing a name in the search field from the application menu some
texts are show only half. Every part of the os is very fast, so this is
not due to bad performance.

This bug is not blocking or anything, just ugly.
