Public bug reported:

Description:	Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release:	12.04
ubuntu-desktop:
  Installed: 1.264
  Candidate: 1.264
  Version table:
 *** 1.264 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I added the alarm-clock application which I use extensively. However,
after full examination of all the choices in the dashboard displays, I
cannot find it to launh it. The alarm-clock applet does not allow me to
import a previous list, and since I can't start this application, I
don't know whether it does either at the moment.

I will try to start it from the console.
