Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

  I dragged a .tar.gz archive containing a theme from a nautilus window
  to the gnome-appearence-manager to install it. It installed just fine
  when I tried to install it by clicking the "Install" button
  afterwards.
