Public bug reported:
I'm trying to uce apt-cdrom to recognize an iso that is either loop
mounted, or on a usb flash stick instead of a cdrom. Even when using -d
and -w to tell it to not try to mount/umount, and point it to the
directory where I already have it mounted, it still tries to mount
/dev/sr0 to another location and fails.
psusi at faldara:~/Downloads$ sudo apt-cdrom -m -d=/mnt/ add
Using CD-ROM mount point /media/apt/
Identifying.. [e77819b1536fea76e327ed466c230d95-2]
Scanning disc for index files..
Found 0 package indexes, 0 source indexes, 0 translation indexes and 0 signatures
W: Failed to mount '/dev/sr0' to '/media/apt/'
E: Unable to locate any package files, perhaps this is not a Debian Disc or the wrong architecture?
So it's completely ignoring both -m and -d switches.
** Affects: apt (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
