Title:
Install / Remove Packages should ignore display limits
Status in “aptitude” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
With a display limit of "!~M" (which is very useful to see only those packages you are actually interested in),
aptitude does not show which packages are going to be automatically removed in GUI mode. This can result in nasty surprises when aptitude continues to remove a big bunch of packages when originally one only wanted to install a package.
I think the display limit should apply only to the "ordinary" package
listings, but not to the previews of what aptitude is going to do.
