Title:
  strange arrow-key behavior after suspend/resume

Status in aptitude:
  Unknown
Status in “aptitude” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After hitting Control-Z to suspend the aptitude job and then fg to
resume it, the arrow keys behave strangely. Down arrow attempts to
report a bug in the highlighted package, Right arrow displays the
changelog of the highlighted package, left arrow shows or hides the
bottom pane (where the description of the highlighted package is). It
seems like perhaps aptitude ignores the escape character for the arrow
  keys?
