Title:
upgrade to 12.04 Beta 1 update-manager-core install error because of
symlink size change
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
While upgrading a 32-bit VirtualBox VM from 11.10 to 12.04 Beta 1, I
got a pop-up with the following error messages
Could not install '/var/cache/apt/archives/update-manager-
core_1%3a0.156.6_i386.deb'
symbolic link '/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-
packages/computerjanitor/exc_tests.py' size has changed from 78 to 73
NB: this bug report is being filed on the 3.0.0 kernel because of
946100.
Synaptic shows update-manager-core 1:0.156.6 in the list of
upgradeable packages, but I get the same error when I try to install
it.
