I think we're unlikely to do this, but there's no harm keeping it as a
wishlist.

Title:
no apport/ubuntu-bug in debian-installer
Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
While doing a test install of Precise Server Alpha 2 (amd64) I ran
into a bug in package selection when choosing the Openstack option.
In the process of filing that bug, I discovered that the Server
installer does not have apport or ubuntu-bug available for filing bugs
against the installer.
So I had to file my bugs manually. The ubiquity based installs do
include ubuntu-bug, and I thought that the d-i based images also had
apport available.
