Bug description:
Binary package hint: openssh-server
I'm setting up Dapper on our production work server to replace and
aging Fedora machine. I recently came across a problem with OpenSSH
X11 forwarding that prevents one of our in house apps from working.
Essentially, openssh stops accepting new X11 connections once the
controlling session closes, but while the channel is still open.
This is reported in OpenSSH bug 1086 (link below) and according to the
bug report is fixed in OpenSSH 4.3. I've confirmed this using my
desktop Edgy install (where it works).
Can this patch be backported to Dapper?
I want to keep this server on the LTS release as it's our main work
horse, and don't really want to use non-main repository .debs (i.e.
try the edgy deb on the dapper system).
