Bug description:
I have logged out from one user account then logged in to another. The update manager (GUI) had tried to launch and crashed crashed right the same time, then the bug reporter has appeared and led me just right here.
History: I had lubuntu 11.10 on my Acer Aspire One D250, then added kubuntu-desktop, ubuntu-desktop, removed k- and lx- DEs and upgraded dist to 12.04 via do-release-upgrade after all.
