Just to make it more google friendly:
When you install the doxygen package and want to create a pdf
file from its latex output, you'll get the cryptic errors below.
These are caused by missing fonts.
As a workaround, install texlive-fonts-recommended.

Example error messages:

kpathsea: Running mktexmf phvbo7tn
! I can't find file `phvbo7tn'.
<*> ...ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input phvbo7tn

Please type another input file name
! Emergency stop.

Title:
doxygen-latex package should have texlive-fonts-recommended in dep

Status in “doxygen” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  1) Ubuntu 11.10
  2) doxygen-latex: Installed: 1.7.4-3
  3) After `sudo aptitude install doxygen-latex` I expect not only to get .tex files with doxygen - but to be able to compile them.
And to do that I need to install `texlive-fonts-recommended`

I think it should be added to package dependencies.
