The 'Europe/Berlin' this makes sense would have been from on the way
back from Budapest, but would have been changed (by a simple click in
'indicator-datetime' to 'Europe/London' at some point sitting in the
cabin on board the Hoek van Holland/Harwich ferry).

Title:
tzdata says "Current default time zone: 'Africa/Bamako' during package
install; previously was 'Europe/London' during OS install
Status in “tzdata” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
sudo apt-get update/upgrade this morning shows:
Setting up tzdata (2012b-1) ...
Current default time zone: 'Africa/Bamako'
Local time is now: Wed Mar 7 09:48:40 GMT 2012.
Universal Time is now: Wed Mar 7 09:48:40 UTC 2012.
Run 'dpkg-reconfigure tzdata' if you wish to change it.
However, this would have been previously set to 'Europe/London' during
install.
