Closing the debian--installer task as Invalid; the problem really is
with NetworkManager's ifblacklist_migrate.sh script which should comment
out these values.

** Changed in: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 948217

Title:
  Atheros Wireless "device not managed" on 12.04

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Using Ubuntu Oneiric 11.10, with kernel 3.0.0-14, wireless card + bluetooth 3.0 "Atheros Communications Inc. AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter" works perfectly out of the box. However, on a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 precise alpha 2, with kernel 3.2.0-15, wireless won't work. On System Settings>Network>Wireless, it says "device not managed". However, wireless icon appears, and I am able to turn on/off wireless from the Unity panel.
