Title:
Corrupt superblock in ext4 when resize

Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Targeting machine runs Ubuntu Jaunty. When running gparted from the
live cd to resize 3 partitions they might become corrupted. Symptom is
that the targeting machine freezes on shutdown and restart, likely due
to sync problems. However you are able to press ctrl + alt + del to
restart and shut it down manually.

I detected the problem when the automatic fsck ran and in the end a
bunch of numbers, Matrix like, appeared on the screen and looped
  indefinitely.
