Public bug reported:
I had the following partitions in my HDD
/dev/sda1 -> Windows
/dev/sda5 -> Oneiric
/dev/sda6 -> Swap
I resize (shrink) the windows partition with Gparted and installed
Precise Beta in a new partition /dev/sda3 (see fdisk -l attached).
After the installation of Precise, the GRUB loads and works normally,
but several entries appears. I attached a screenshot of the grub screen.
I have only 3 systems, but the Grub screen have 4 entries for "Ubuntu,
with Linux with 3.0.0.X" : 3.0.0.16-generic, 3.0.0.15-generic,
3.0.0.14-generic and 3.0.0.12-generic). All them opens Oneiric (see
atacched screenshot for better understanding)
I tried run the command update-grub, but nothing change.
-What you expected to happen
I expect to have one entry for each system.
-What actually happened
After Precise installation, several entries appeared, all them related
with the Ubuntu Linux 3.0.0.X.
