  installer stuck for a while at the end of installation, later: a crush

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Installed over ubuntu 11.10: 
  chose "something else" and set / at the previews ext4 partition, without formatting (to keep my /home intact)

  set the same user and password.

  the internet connection was cut off sometime after language pack
  installation.

  The installer got stuck near the end. After several minutes a crush
  report window popped up.
