Thanks for taking the time to reply, even if the bug was idling for a
long time. I will mark it as invalid as it has been fixed in between and
the root cause has not been found.

  Cannot update or install packages

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I am using ubuntu 11.04 and I am unable to install packages from the
  universe multiverse main extras. I have enabled these repositories but
  while reloading package information it is telling a Hashsum mismatch.
  I tried changing the download server, using command line apt-get
  update apt-getclean etc but it didnt solve the issue
