I'm guessing your script failed pretty bad there. I have no idea, but it's
one that you could test pretty easily by downloading an ISO I would think?

  Kubuntu 11.04 fails to install or boot with Wubi

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Kubuntu 11.04 does not install correctly when using the Wubi installer
  to install within windows.

  Steps to reproduce:

  Download kubuntu 11.04 amd64 iso
  Mount with Daemon Tools (I had no blank discs but this shouldn't be an issue as all installer files are copied to the fake partition - also the Ubuntu Wubi install works fine like this)
  Run Wubi to install Kubuntu 11.04 amd64
  See that it completes
  Choose option to reboot now
  Boot into Kubuntu
  See that the install fails and is stuck at the splash screen.

  There appears to be activity with the HDD light, but even after 15
  minutes nothing happens.
