Title:
  apt gets broken by package with many config files

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apt

  1. running Ubuntu 6.06.2 LTS Dapper Drake
  2. using apt-0.6.43.3ubuntu3
  3. Installing a package with > 500 config files should work.
  4. Installing a package with > 500 config files breaks apt.

  This is the exact behavior of http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=174945
  which supposedly got fixed in apt_0.5.24

  Getting the source (apt-get source apt - version 0.6.43.3ubuntu3) and
  inspecting it, the tag size is still set to 32k, not to 128k as it has
  been set in debian's apt 0.5.24

  in tagfile.h:   pkgTagFile(FileFd *F,unsigned long Size = 32*1024);
