Your dmesg output shows that you had a kernel OOPS that may be due to
this drive.  Can you plug in this drive and check dmesg to see if it
happens again?  If so there appears to be a kernel bug, and if you could
run the following command ( assuming sdb is the drive in question ) and
attach the resulting file, it may be helpful in debugging:

e2image -r /dev/sdb1 - | bzip2 > sdb1.e2i.bz2
