Title:
newer installer (ubuntu12 & mint13) crashes on high number partitions

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I am attempting to install Ubuntu 12 and Mint 13 on an old Compaq
Presario 2100. After many crashes with Mint, I installed Mint over
Ubuntu 12. Now I am getting the same crash trying to install Ubuntu
12 on partitions 11 and 12. Also on a previous try the Ubuntu 12
installer demanded that I unmount sda6 and crashed over the fact that
I could not unmount a drive I never mounted.
