I confirm it is not a bug in ubiquity and can be reproduced with plain
gtk3 app.

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Quantal)
       Status: Confirmed => Invalid

** Description changed:

  Ubuntu Desktop 20120619

  TEST CASE:
- 1. Start ubiquity and go to the advanced partitioner ('something else' in partitioning step)
- 2. Select the line with free space and click on 'Add new partition'
- 3. In the dialog that pops up, click on the partition type list and select another type than ext4 with the mouse, then with the keyboard
+ 1. On Quantal, install the package gtk-3-examples
+ $ sudo apt-get install gtk-3-examples
+ 2. Launch 'gtk3-demo'
+ 3. In the list double-click on 'Combo Box'
+ 4. Try to change the value in the combo boxed 'Some stock icons' or 'Where are we'

  ACTUAL RESULT:
- Partition type cannot be changed
+ The user cannot change the selection
