Title:
Oneiric current, USB 3 capable External Box with a 3.5 sata disk
inside doesn't work when attached to USB 3 port, works perfect on USB
  2 port. AsRock 880GMH/USB3 motherboard

Status in “util-linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Hello,

As in summary, I have an external USB 3 capable box carrying inside a
2 tera disk with a 2 tera partition formatted by ext 4.

If I plug it on the USB 3 port on my AsRock 880GMH/USB3 motherboard,
apparently nothing happens. If I plug it on one of the many USB 2
ports on my motherboard, the disk and partition work perfectly.

This is the log I get from dmesg

Hope this can be solved so that I can use my external disk on the USB 3 port.

  Cheers
