Title:
Ubuntu login screen shows "Ubuntu 12.04 LTS" instead of "Ubuntu 12.10"

Status in “lightdm” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After installing Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha 1 along Ubuntu 12.04. Repeatable
  by rebooting.

Also, my old Ubuntu 12.04 profile isn't available anymore. Through
GRUB I get the option of booting to Ubuntu Linux with kernel 3.2 or
3.4, but both lead to 12.10 with kernel 3.4.0-5 (as per uname -r)
