Happened to me while trying to install from CD.
Does not happen with Xubuntu 12.04.
Crash occured while manually specifying disk partitions.
Installer then 'self-booted' to Live CD mode.
I ran the installer again and the crash occured at the same point.
I am therefore unable to install Kubuntu 12.04.
Very dissapointing that this critical and common bug has not been fixed.
Maybe Kubuntu just don't care after Canonical pulled their funding.
What choice then for KDE? Opensuse? LOL not with Novellsoft!
I think Canonical is trying to kill competetion.
Canonical is run by Microsoft.
Resistance is futile.
