Public bug reported:
Attempting to build a 64-bit Mythbuntu 12.04 (Precise) LTSP client, from
a 64-bit Ubuntu 10.04.3 (ltsp-server version 5.2.1-0ubuntu9) server,
fails due to the "admin" user group not existing.
The command that I am using:
sudo ltsp-build-client --arch amd64 --dist precise --mythbuntu --mythbuntu-user-credentials="mythuser:password"
The messages leading up to the failure:
Adding user `mythuser' ...
Adding new group `mythuser' (1000) ...
Adding new user `mythuser' (1000) with group `mythuser' ...
Creating home directory `/home/mythuser' ...
Copying files from `/etc/skel' ...
usermod: group 'admin' does not exist
error: LTSP client installation ended abnormally
It seems like it is failing because it's attempting to add the mythuser
to the admin group, which no longer exists in 12.04. Any workaround for
this? Or is it a bug?
** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
