Marius, please don't reassign bugs from usplash to plymouth. They are
two completely different pieces of software.

Secret, if you still see boot-time issues with versions of Kubuntu after
10.04, feel free to open a separate bug report on the plymouth package.

** Package changed: plymouth (Ubuntu) => usplash (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: usplash (Ubuntu)
       Status: Incomplete => Won't Fix

Title:
  usplash stops after pressing esc-button to stop disk-check

Status in “usplash” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  I use Kubuntu 8.04 and during boot it starts to do a disk-check. During this disk-check I get prompted with the option to press the esc-button to stop the disk check. After pressing the esc-button, kubuntu stops booting all together. After some-time it switches to a (black) konsole-like screen. However I can not give any commands in this screen (like I can in konsole)
  This is probably too scarce information to do something with, but If you need more information I'm willing to help you.
