Thanks for sending the log.  Unfortunately, it still only shows this:

So the libpam-modules package is being set up normally.

At this point, I have no guesses as to why apport reported this issue.
I'll leave this bug open in case more information becomes available; but
it looks like your system is correctly configured now, so there probably
won't be any more information.
