Bug description:
  update-manager 1:0.167, Ubuntu Q

  1. Launch Software Updater.
  2. Wait for the updates check to complete.

  What you see:
  1. A progress window of one width.
  2. An alert box much wider.

  What you should see:
  2. The window is different height, but exactly the same width.
