User is using third party driver.

Can you demonstrate that this is the fault of apt or the package fglrx
*as provided by Ubuntu*?

Title:
Unable to remove fglrx AMD driver properly using apt

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Hi, I read on Ubuntu Forums that someone uninstalled the fglrx AMD
driver using apt & could not get to the login screen (didn't load).

The best way is using AMD's own uninstaller:
  sudo /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh

Uninstalling by apt should restore to the standard driver properly,
which in this case didn't happen.
