[Bug 1028436] [NEW] no partitions seen in installer dialog, gparted shows partitions correctly

This is a HP Elitebook 2760p. With gparted, I've removed one of the 4
(annoying) primary partitions, added one extended with some logical
drives. Unfortunately, Installer does not show the partitions, there is
a plain /dev/sda entry only. What's the matter?
