Title:
/etc/fstab modified by wrong entries
Status in “util-linux” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Quantal i386
since a couple of weeks, i've seen dialog popup warning about /dev/fd0
tried to be mounted by the system, but failed. The strangeness is this
desktop has not floppy hardware.
Looking at /etc/fstab, i see new entry lines added:
- about cd reader (was not present previously into this custom minimalistic fstab, but the hardware is connected )
/dev/disk/by-id/ata-TSSTcorp_CDDVDW_SH-S203D /mnt/ata-TSSTcorp_CDDVDW_SH-S203D auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,noauto,x-gvfs-show 0 0
- and that floppy ghost:
/dev/disk/by-uuid/C45C913B5C912966 /mnt/C45C913B5C912966 auto nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show,noauto 0 0
Even that C45C913B5C912966 is not found by blkid.
what i can note is this parameter: x-gvfs-show , and /dev/disk/by-id
for one, and /dev/disk/by-uuid for the other.
Of course i've commented out these wrong entries to stop this mount
failed loop. But i wonder which package update have automaticaly
modified this /etc/fstab. Not sure that util-linux is to blame, maybe
an other package is responsible.
