Public bug reported:

If you click on package manager Ubuntu 12.10, over the last 4 days, it
says that it is broken and though it tries to repair itself it doesn't.
The catalog is corrupt in some way. Packages cannot be installed. Can it
be repaired, please.

I update Ubuntu 12.10 abot about 04:00 GMT every day.

This is getting a bit bureaucratic.

** Affects: apt (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
