[Bug 1025385] [NEW] Ubuntu installer doesn't offer option for btrfs subvolume

Public bug reported:

The 'alternate' installer for Precise, even in expert mode, doesn't
allow the selection of a subvolume ID when installing into a btrfs
partition.

I have a btrfs partition that already contains some data. I wanted to
install Ubuntu into it in a fresh subvolume. I created the subvolume,
so I now have a subvol called '@precise'. I go into 'manual disk
partitioning'. It offers me the option to use a btrfs partition and not
reformat it, but no choice of subvolume ID. That means it will install
all over the existing files. The mount option would be subvol=@precise,
but the installer doesn't allow me to add that or select from anything
but a very limited set of mount options.

More generally, perhaps there could be an option in the disk partition
settings to add user-supplied textual mount options?

I eventually installed manually via debootstrap, chroot and much fiddling, via these instructions:
https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/i386/linux-upgrade.html

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
