Xubuntu Desktop amd64 has the same issue, and typing "s" after bios
screen works as well.  Lubuntu does not seem to have the issue.

Bug description:
  Hallo
  Are days that starting regularry from an usb+persistence (the behavior is the same from a DVD), it don't show plymouth and jump directly into the live session without display the window of Ubiquity-DM asking if I want to try or install.
