This does not appear to be a bug. A quick google search on "W:Duplicate
sources.list entry http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ precise/partner
i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical
.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_partner_binary-i386_Packages)" gave me this:

  reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.  Ubuntu 12.04
  software manager won't open.  Please help!
