Title:
There are 2 applications "Alarm Clock" with the same icon

Status in “alarm-clock” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “alarm-clock-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in “app-install-data-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
These are 2 very different applications (alarm-clock and alarm-clock-
applet). Comparing the detail pages the difference becomes clearer,
but in the Dash (where more info is not available) becomes impossible
  to differentiate them.

While having a different icon would be sensible, the icon itself can't
be enough to express the difference in features.

  Proposed solution:

Add to the application submission review process, in case are missing,
  the following items:

  1) Comparison of the application name with previously approved apps.

  2) Avoid very generic names, or at least concatenate it with more descriptive words to better communicate the features or complexity.
Examples: a simple app like alarm-clock could be named "Simple Alarm". A fully featured app like alarm-clock-applet could be named "Alarm Clock Plus".

  3) Avoid third party apps to use the same icon someone else app is
  using.
