Hi there,
I couldn't wait (this was a company installation) so I moved back to
10.04, which proved to be safe to install on that hardware.
Thanks anyway!

Title:
Installer crashed
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Hi there!
While installing Kubuntu, the installer crashed reporting following error msg:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ubiquity/frontend/kde-ui.py", line 684, in on_next_clicked
self.dbfilter.ok_handler()
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/ubiquity/components/partman.py", line 303, in ok_handler
elif (self.current_question.endswith('automatically_partition') or
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'endswith'
-------------------------------------------------------
Crash occurred while partitioning disks. First selected option was 'use largest available space', which failed; then option 'use hda1' was used; this led to the above crash.
Error dialog also instructed to attach files from /var/log (if needed just post me a request, can't attach them here).
Aloha!
Filippo
